For this essay, you will closely analyze a film(s) or
television series specific to the dystopia and apocalyptic
genres. Your goal is to elaborate or build upon the
understanding you gained in class about the impact and
influence the theme (s) this genre has on audiences.

Discuss the allure, impact, power, and influence of the
character(s) and if their message is one, which
makes audiences reflect on social, cultural, historically,
etc. concepts/issues. Consider the prominence of
this character and why they have become relevant within the
genre and by audiences.
